Description
This extraordinary fabric began as a collaboration between Sandra and designer Paul Wiseman. Inspired by the color of Paul’s 1810 Wedgewood Drabware plate, the pair worked for more than a year to obtain the perfect color match. Originally done as in limited-edition Suri Zibelinado for The Wiseman Group, the fabric was so beautiful that Paul and Sandra wanted to share it with the world. Sandra also expanded the colorway into this beautiful matching Bouclé. The name for these fabrics is taken from the French word Chatoyant which means to shimmer or shine like a cat’s eyes.

Because our Prima Alpaca textiles are woven from natural – and not synthetic – fibers, they have characteristic irregularities that are considered part of their charm. The variation in dark and light fibers adds depth and movement to otherwise what would be a flat and dull surface. They also make each yard subtly distinctive and special.
